Why do people say African Americans act the way they do because they're poor, when the ones with money act the same?

How do we act? I’m curious.

Just because you’re of the same ethnicity, it doesn’t mean you all act exactly the same way.

I’m from Mississippi and it snowed and we Southerners….don’t know how to snow….

Little-known cells might be key to human brain’s massive memory - The Washington Post

We are not the same. That Black man has seen things, snowy evil things….

Some song about having a big bootied woman….

But my dad is straight country, Black people version. It don’t matter how much money he gets, he’ll always drink him a nastyass bud light and sit outside on the hottest of days listening to the blues.

Why are white women so overly emotional?

A grown folks gifting. We raid her pantries when we come over anyways.

I was raised in a middle/upper middle class setting as a Black American.

Also, like 17% of Black Americans live in poverty. Around 61% of us are middle class now. Our poverty rates are at a historic low. Stop acting like we’re all poor at some point. My grandpappy was so happy at my birth he put property in my name. lol.

I’m wondering about attachment and transference with the therapist and the idea of escape and fantasy? How much do you think your strong feelings, constant thoughts, desires to be with your therapist are a way to escape from your present life? I wonder if the transference serves another purpose than to show us our wounds and/or past experiences, but is a present coping strategy for managing what we don’t want to face (even if unconsciously) in the present—-current relationships, life circumstances, etc. Can anyone relate to this concept of escape in relation to their therapy relationship? How does this play out for you?

I don’t get why folks don’t understand this cause, it happens everywhere:

My dad’s big ass Ford F-150 long bed got stuck in the snow, we were struggling, I was covered in mud and absolutely miserable. However, we had a savior, a Black man from up North, Massachusetts, happened to be visiting relatives nearby and saw our sad plight.

I’m pretty sure whatever convoluted idea you have about Black Americans, is off the mark, cause we’re different from each other, even depending on region. Like some of the slang from Black Americans up North, or even Black Americans further down South, it confuses me.

I'm pretty sure that my dog is transgender, how would I go about transitioning it?

He shoveled around the tires, he rocked the tires, and then he got some sand from the sandbox we had for the kids for traction. He got it out. WE asked him if he needed anything but he said nope, just wanted to help. My younger sister was trying to flirt with him too because he was REALLY handsome. Like Sir, how are you so nice and good looking?

I just UberEATS myself an expensive plate of snow crab linguine from a high end restaurant to celebrate cause I can eat solids now after having a tooth extracted.

My dad always has a ton of money. Both my parents are workaholics and have 5 rental properties now.

How should one respond to compliments such as "You are so special" and "I'm lucky to have met you" from a guy?

My mother is a dainty, quiet lady and the only person I’ve ever known, to never curse. I have NEVER heard my mother say a curse word before. She goes to church in a militant fashion, you gravely disappoint her when you miss Bible study Tuesday or church on Sunday, she’s always there when you need a hand, and she’s addicted to QVC and HSN. There are so many unopened packages of things she forgot, that during the holidays she barely needs to shop. One year she just told us to raid her closet and I pulled out a Saint Laurent wallet, an iphone portable charger that doubles as an emergency flash light, like I can put the thing on top of my car for emergencies and you can see that a far distance away, tons of expensive perfume and lotion sets like Chanel, and some cute nail polish sets, it was quite nice.
